Two Types of Probate Administration

There are two major types of Probate Administration in Texas Probate law. The first is called an Independent Administration. If the deceased person has left a properly executed Last Will and Testament, you might be eligible for an Independent Administration. This type of procedure is faster, more cost effective, and has less court supervision - all positive attributes! A dependent administration, however, is used when there is not a proper Will in place. This type is more challenging, more expensive, and usually requires much more communication with the court.
