Sherry has been with The Coquat Law Firm, P.C. since 2009. Her practice includes construction law, wills & probate, and appellate law. A magna cum laude graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Sherry served as a Staff Writer and Senior Associate Editor on the Law Journal. Her student comment, on the U.S. Supreme Court Hamdan decision, was published in the Journal. During law school she also worked as an intern for the Honorable Emilio M. Garza of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Sherry is licensed in the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is a member of, among others, the Federal Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society, and the San Antonio Bar Association where she currently serves on the editorial staff of the San Antonio Lawyer magazine.

Law is a second career for Sherry, following service in the United States Air Force, living and traveling throughout the world, and raising a family along with her husband, Gene. They have three children and four grandchildren, whom Sherry does not get to visit with often enough.

In her spare time, Sherry sings with the First Baptist San Antonio Sanctuary Choir and enjoys reading, golf, and racquetball. She was a cast member of the 2010 cast of The Ethics Follies.
